I have been working on all kinds of stuff recently, and I figured I would summarize what's new in a quick blog post.

Crappy Graphs

I posted a few graphs on my blog recently and decided to continue making them. Because it would probably be best to keep them separate from the rest of my content, I set up a really quick WordPress blog and domain name over at CrappyGraphs.com. I went with the name "Crappy Graphs!" because "AwesomeGraphs.com" would just sound too pretentious.

Daily Videos

I have wanted to get into video production for over a year now, but due to the high barrier to entry, I have not been able to kick start it. I decided to challenge myself to create a video every day to get into a rhythm of recording, editing, and publishing video quickly. Hopefully, the quality of my videos -- both editing style and content -- will improve as I log more hours in the processes.

Twitter

I started an experiment on Twitter.com over a month ago. I noticed that the person that had the most friends on the entire site (over 7mil account registered?) only had about 17,000 friends. I wanted to see what would happen if I jettisoned to the top of the popularity charts overnight. As of this writing, I have the second-most friends, but more importantly, I'm the second most-followed user on the site.

I have been collecting some great statistics and have been developing some interesting theories on Internet Celebrity.

SXSW

The deadline for submitting panel ideas for SXSW 2008 was July 20th. I submitted two ideas that I think would be a lot of fun to discuss. When the panel-picker opens up in August for community voting, I will be promoting my topics and counting on you to come vote for me!

Connecting with people

I have obviously connected with a lot of people on Twitter, but I am on other services, too! Check out the links on the left and connect with me!

This week, I used the little bit of Internet Pseudo-Celebrity I have conjured up so far to jump from 37 to 126 connections on LinkedIn.com. I will be doing the same for some of my accounts on other services, but why not get a jump start and connect with me on all of them now?
